The last few metres to Nina

From the river: the walking links end at the foot of the broad central stairs between the buildings. Walk up these central stairs to the terrace with the open white parasols.

Step-free access, pushchairs and wheelchairs: approach from Rua Comandante Cousteau, behind the building. Choose the link “Via Rua Comandante Cousteau”, then continue to Nina’s rear entrance. These links lead to the access street, rather than the riverside stairs.

Walking times are Google Maps estimates checked on 5 October 2026. They end at the mapped access point; allow time for the final entrance, crossings and your own walking pace.

By car: start with Rua Comandante Cousteau

For the nearest street approach, set your navigation to Rua Comandante Cousteau. You can find paid public on-street parking here and reach Nina from behind the building. This is also the approach for a taxi or ride-share drop-off.

On busy weekends or event days, alternatives include Parking OPE Campus de Justiça, the covered public car park, and PARK Arena Expo. The two FIL parking pins below are on Rua do Bojador and Avenida do Atlântico. Each option has a driving link and a separate walk to Nina from street level. Spaces are subject to availability; the car parks’ opening times and charges apply.

Make the walk part of your visit

The “River walk via the gardens” option adds a stroll through Jardins Garcia de Orta and along the Tagus promenade. It can be a substantial detour from northern hotels or Moscavide; each link shows the longer walking estimate so you can choose with enough time.

Coming from Myriad, the FIL riverside roundabout or the northern cable-car station? The short riverfront approach already leads towards Nina’s central stairs. The Telecabine north and south stations have their own routes in the attractions list. Along the waterfront you can enjoy Parque Tejo and views towards the Vasco da Gama Bridge.

Use Rua Comandante Cousteau for the final step-free entrance. The promenade links finish at the stairs.
